XYZ-Wing is een geavanceerde vis-techniek die je gebruikt wanneer singles, pairs en X-Wing niet genoeg meer zijn.

De kern blijft hetzelfde: als kandidaten in drie rijen op precies drie kolommen vastzitten, mag je die kandidaat elders in die kolommen verwijderen.

XYZ-Wing workflow

1. Kies één cijfer en scan alleen rijen (of alleen kolommen).
2. Zoek drie rijen waar de kandidaat in twee of drie vakjes voorkomt.
3. Controleer dat deze kandidaten samen precies drie kolommen vormen.
4. Verwijder dat cijfer uit andere vakjes in die drie kolommen.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Mixing row-based and column-based XYZ-Wing scans in the same step.
• Forcing a pattern when candidates occupy more than three lines.
• Eliminating inside the pattern cells instead of outside them.
